Then there are days, like yesterday when it felt like a 72 hours day. It just didn't end. I'm feeding Yasmin to sleep, and I keep getting strange flashes of me on a beach, me on trekking trail ... ha ha, you get my point yah. So there are days, and moments, I'd admit, when I wish I were somewhere else ... just for those fleeting seconds.
So I've decided to make cheery, feel good, 'little mama lists' (like those shopping or 'To Do' lists that never gets done) to remind me that all this habitual moaning and groaning, sometimes monotonous days and mostly tiredness (in all its glory) is rooted in lots of deep, deep and irreplaceable love for my girls. Ha ha, I know why bother when I already have difficulty updating this blog?
This is my first of many lists ... and I'm going to call it my 'Remember mama list' (Sera has a habit of saying 'remember mama' these days to make her point very punctuated).
1. Yas, you were smiling from ear to ear after being plugged in for 4 days! And I was dancing around like a complete loony.
3. Yas, at the moment, you have this strange fascination with plastic bags (which is of course just so economical for us). Here you're just hanging out in the kitchen with mama, while I cook
4. Sera just before dinner, you had your first ever, gory accident. You slipped and bumped your mouth on the toilet. It was the second scariest motherhood moment for me (the first was when Yas dived from the couch and bumped her head on the floor), but you were very brave despite the deep cut on your lip and the enormous amount of blood! urghhh ....
5. Yas, I have to hand it to you ... you carry your cheeks so fashionably well!
6. Cushions are not just cushions with you ... they become trains, rockets ... anything you want them to be!
7. And then, within seconds, they became a doctor's clinic. Here you are plastering your sick friends with band-aids.

8. Yas, you've been curiously eyeing the telephone for the longest time. So this morning, you crawled across the living room, reached out for the telephone and FINALLY got your hands on it. Congratulations!
9. I have to end this list with an odd and not even number because I too, have my pecularities. So I'm going to leave #9 for Johan, just because he has a fixation with even numbers. Hee hee. Baby you were a horrible GROUCH (and deserve to be in a bin) last night but I've decided to forgive you because at the end of the day, you're still my #1. 'wink'
