The girls had a wonderful time with oma for the past 4 weeks. Nothing like having oma around for big hugs, endless storytelling and singing. For all of oma's perseverance, Sera is singing more Dutch nursery songs and we shared one proud moment, one afternoon after school, when Sera uttered her first German word, 'schmetterling', and oma was able to translate it for us. Sera was even more delighted that it meant butterfly. Ha ha.
